The Villaseñor family has owned the Peppertree Frosty since 1960. When they bought the business it was a Tastee Freeze franchise. The Tastee Freeze first opened August 14, 1953. Soon after Joe a.k.a. “Chuy” and Velia Villaseñor bought the business in 1960 they changed the name to the Peppertree Frosty. Vista Press Archives

In the early years peppertrees would line the creek next to the business. The Peppertree Frosty has been special to the Villaseñor family Chuy, Velia, and the children Chris, Danny, Lydia, and Vicki have all grown up working in the business. When Chuy passed away son Danny Villaseñor and his wife Linda took over the business

The success of the Peppertree is due to the loyal following of generations of Vistans and patrons of surrounding communities. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of its employees Peppertree has enjoyed great success as part of the community.
